Green Velvet Bikini Diet

Im not a personal trainer, not a dietician. Not a nutritionist, not a psychologist. I'm a regular person who has found the secret to losing weight. Counting carbs. Maybe its Atkins, I dont know, but its not hard and it makes you lose what you need to lose. Combined with some fun workouts and you SHOULD lose weight! Enjoy!

Recipes

These recipes can be made in more than 1 portion so you can eat them a few times a week. You can have them at either lunch OR dinner. They are also easy to make for your family in different variations.
If you use the portions given on the packaging you buy (or via myfitness pal) you will be fine!

I go out to eat A LOT! So, when I do, I try and eliminate carbs. No bread at an italian restaurant. I choose fish or grilled chicken. Coopers Hawk has a Thai chicken wrap that fits into myfitnesspal. You know what carbs are, just avoid 'em!

TACO SALAD
Ground Turkey, 5 oz.
Taco Seasoning (Costco), 4 tsp
Lettuce, 4 leaves
Crema, 2 tbsp
Chihuaua Cheese
9-10 Corn Tortilla Chips
** I use the turkey meat to make enchiladas for the family**
You can also use the meat to do a "nacho style lunch" and put it on the 9-10 tortilla chips with toppings

CHICKEN ARTICHOKE PASTA
Sauteed Chicken (or shrimp), 5-6 oz
Artichokes in water (Costco)
Pasta, 2 oz
Sun dried tomatoes
EVOO
Fresh Basil
(could use salt, but for bloating purposes I dont use it. I DO put it on for the family portions)

QUINOA SPINACH AND PESTO BOWL
(knockoff from The Protein Bar Item) (high protein!)
Quinoa
Spinach leaves
Grilled chicken (fresh or bagged), 3oz
Pesto, 2 Tbsp (Costco)

JIMMY JOHNS
#12 Beach Club Unwich (no mayo, no sprouts) (and if youre hard core carbless...no cucumbers, although I use those as my "potato chips")
No bread, just a lettuce wrap, but very filling! Don't succumb to the chips, just drink a glass of water and it will fill you up just fine!

CHIPOTLE CHICKEN BOWL
(this is kind of a treat at Chipotle, so I either do a light dinner if its lunch, or light lunch if its dinner)
Chicken
Brown Rice
Sour Cream
Cheese

CHICKEN SALAD
Grilled chicken, 5-6 oz
Lettuce, 5 leaves
Balsamic Vinegar, 2 tbsp
EVOO, 1 Tbsp

CHICKEN PARMIGIANA
(This is another treat, so I will have a salad at the alternate meal. I just dont do the pasta side, I leave that for the family. My "glass of wine" will be my pasta fix)
Chicken breast
Breading:
Wheat flour
Panko breadcrumbs
egg whites
sauteed in EVOO

HALIBUT AND COUSCOUS
Halibut, 6 oz grilled
Couscous, sauteed in:
Red pepper, shallot, garlic, white wine splash, chicken broth
Bok Choy to dress
